Peacock Bass And Snook Caught Fishing in South Florida
Hi this is Capt Robert Miley I had the pleasure of fishing with Kurt from Texas.
The water temp was 83 and it was 93 today overcast.
Fishing was excellent we caught 20 to 25 nice Peacocks a one small Snook.
He had a great time and is looking forward to coming back with his dad it was a great day.
We beat the rain had to get the jackets out for a moment but we didn’t get wet and the fish bit all day long.
We went through 10 dozen shiners the fish were deep and sometimes it almost felt like they were snagged and we would let it go for a second then see the tip bend and then set the hook.
Its a tough bite really easy to miss, just how to fish are in summer.

Peacock Bass Fishing In The Blue Lagoon
Hello this is Capt Robert Miley just getting off the water at the Blue Lagoon.
It is a little bit cooler than its been, its saying around 82 but I believe its a little hotter than that.
We had rain this morning water temp was 85 and I fished with Phillip Vance he is a Military Veteran Sergeant Major in Logistics out of Fort Bragg North Carolina.
He is getting ready to retire this dec and he wanted to get the peacock bass off of his bucket list.
We did that we caught some nice ones we ran out of bait bringing with us 10 dozen shiners.
Then switched to artificial we caught a few on artificial but the bite slowed down ether the artificial bite might have been better early or maybe they just weren’t biting anymore.
Phillip had a big fish on it prob ran 100 yards of line off running back and forth and what an awesome fish.
If it was a peacock it might have been a record but I believe it might’ve been a big snook.
Then we were sitting there talking and we had some bait hanging of the side of the boat and a large tarpon came up and hit it.
We had it on for a good 4 or 5 leaps and then it broke the hook, while fishing with artificial Phillip had another tarpon on but after a few leaps we got the lure tossed back at us.
I also spent some time with Phillip showing him about how important casting accuracy is and how to pitch the cast just right.

Peacock Bass Fishing In South Florida
This is Capt Tony Masiello with BassOnline in South Florida, this is my Peacock Bass fishing report. The bite has been really good, in the morning we have been using live bait, and putting some pretty good numbers in the boat. Once the sun gets up high they have been moving up onto the shelves, which makes for some exciting sight fishing. This past trip I had a client boat one of the largest Peacock Bass that was ever caught in my boat, it was 7 pounds 10 ounces. My forecast for the up coming week looks pretty good the bite should be great the bass are still in their spawn and should be coming up onto the shelves as the sun rises, with a good shiner bite in the morning. South Florida Peacock Bass fishing report with Capt Brett
Hi there. This is your South Florida Peacock Bass fishing report with Capt Brett, Capt Tony and I had the Darrell Mantell family out from Canada today, We took them down to Miami for a short trip for peacock bass fishing and not knowing what to expect with this cold front that just pushed in how that was going to affect the fish at all and cloud cover, but we had a pretty good day today. We got over 50 Peacock Bass between the two boats all on live bait action moving around to the back to the back canals of blue Lagoon in Miami.
