Hi this is John Leech had a great time this morning with Mike and his son Michael. We got a little bit of a late start but we caught a big bass first thing in the morning. First bait in the water we had a 8 pounder. Then his dad had a 5 pounder and anyway just had a great day. The big fish were biting early this morning we caught around 15 fish the best bite was the first 45 mins. That big bass first thing in the morning though, just set us up for a great day. That’s it for now for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline thank you.
This species is one of the top predators in the freshwater aquatic systems throughout Florida. Highly prized by a vast variety of anglers for their explosive first bite and strong fight, these fish mean business. There are countless techniques and baits that target these beautiful fish. From Baits targeting the deeper holes to top water baits there are many ways to hook into one of these guys. New baits and styles are being used every day and what did work yesterday might not today. Sometimes even a custom rig put together from outdated lure and tackle parts becomes the next big thing.
This is Capt John Leech today I fished with Tommy Dorsey. He loves going up to Johns Lake we got up there and the fish were schooling and they were hungry. We caught quite a few anyways we had a great time I cant wait to go fishing with him again. Anyways for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline thank you.
Johns Lake is in North Park a little northwest of Orlando. The main species of fish anglers target are the largemouth Bass, Crappie and bluegill. With the combination of Bass and Panfish it offers a chance to catch a trophy sportfish and a tasty meal. While it produces trophy fish it has very little pressure throughout the week. Making this for a more relaxing and enjoyable trip. Despite the building of high dollar homes along the shoreline, there is plenty of cover for the fish from weedbeds to rocky structures and coral like rock formations on the lake bottom.

Fishing Trip On Lake Toho
This is Capt Steve again with another Fathers day Fishing Trip On Lake Toho with Al, Alex, Aiden, and Larry. We used live bait Al never fished live bait he mostly does artificial and he ended up catching the most fish. Very patience guy willing to learn and listen and he was very good at it. We caught about half a dozen up to 4 and a half pounds it was a lot of fun. I like to see the younger generations out fishing and having a good time. I hope to see them again I think they might be booking a salt water trip for next time maybe the ponce inlet. Well anyways for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline thank you. This is Capt Steve with a report for a Fathers Day Fishing Trip. I had a 4 hour trip with Albert his sons, Albert, Vincent, and wife Rebecca. We went out on Toho and we ended up catching about a dozen bass in 4 hours. We dodged some rain drops for a bit, then the sun came back out. All in all we had a good day Vincent caught his first bass and he ended up catching 3 out of the 12 bass.
It was pretty exciting for him catching bass on shiners, we tried to troll but the wind was tough. We had to put both anchors down and power poles, anyway they were really fun to take out i hope to see them again. For all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline thank you.
Hi this is Capt John Leech with the fishing report for Johns Lake. Well Today I had Tommy Dorsey and his dad out for fathers day and birthday gift and boy did we have fun. They wanted to go up to Johns Lake, I haven’t been up there for at least 6 months. It took me a few mins to find the fish but boy once we found them they caught some fish and had a blast. That is it for now this is Capt John Leech. For all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline thank you.
We were using Carolina rig worms and a mojo rig its got about 8 to 12 inches of line beneath the sinker. The best colors were the black blue tail or June bug. After the bite slowed down we took off and started fishing with shiners on another hydrilla edge, and caught some there also.
I do not recall how many fish were caught between the two boats but we had a great time, had a lot of fun, and created some good memories. For all your fresh water fishing adventures go to BassOnline, thank you.
