Peacock Bass Fishing Trip In Palm Beach
Hello this is Robert Miley im up here at Lake Ida just finishing up a trip.
I had Scot and his son Dillan out fishing with me, Scot brought his son over to catch some Peacock Bass and they did.
They caught some nice ones even though the weather was super hot outside.
Scott is a Capt his boat is called Fish&Tails out of Fort Myers he does private tours for fishing and diving.
They had a great time they came over to catch strickly peacock, the biggest was almost 5 pounds with several in the 3 to 4 pound range.
Water temp is in the 90s I dont know how hot the air temp is my dash is saying 76 but I know its hotter than that cause you cant touch anything.
The fish were biting awesome we caught so many I lost count and he said he wants to do it again next time.
Another congrats to Scott he caught a big peacock and it really ran some line off, for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline.
Peacock Bass Fishing Trip
Hello this is Capt Robert E Miley on Lake Ida its raining right now. The water temperature was 84 the air was 91 and it is now 79 degrees, it wasn’t that windy but the fishing was awesome. I fished with the Abu Garcia guys Jerry his son Colby and his friend Ryan. We caught a nice variety of fish about 25 Peacock Bass the biggest was 4 1/2 pounds, but we caught some really nice ones and some Largemouth Bass. The Fish were biting on a mix of shiners and artificial our biggest came on Zara Spooks. My thumbs are worn out and theirs are too they couldn’t believe the pull on those fish.
We had an awesome day and I want to thank them for coming down here from South Carolina. I’m heading home cause I’m soaking wet but the fishing has been good. If anybody would like to come south and try some of these feisty fish they are biting great. Anyways for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline, this is Capt Robert Miley thank you.
Overcast On Lake Ida Fishing For Peacock Bass
Hello this is Capt Robert E Miley fishing on Lake Ida. it was a little overcast the temperature was 76 degrees compared to 95 yesterday and the water temperature was 80, but it made the fish down a little bit the bite was a little slow and they were real hard to feel.
I fished with Mr Bernstein and we had a school I taught him how to use a casting reel to catch Peacock Bass and how to pitch it and he caught some nice peacock. we didn’t catch that many on the 4 hour trip because we moved around but the ones we caught were really nice, no giant ones nothing over 3 pounds but they were nice fish.
Mr Bernstein is looking forward to fishing again and this was kinda like a school for him he has been a salt water fisherman and not a freshwater. so I got to show him how casting is very critical. anyway we had a good day and I want to thank Jerry for contacting us at BassOnline, he retired down here a really nice guy and loves to fish and I hope he has a nice trip home.
