Bass Fishing Trip Out On The St Johns River

Bass Fishing Trip Out On The St Johns River

Bass Fishing Trip Out On The St Johns River

This is Capt Steve with the fishing report for the St Johns River.

I went out of Castaways On The River, with Chris his sons Luke and Carson and his father in-law Frank.

We did a little artificial and shiner fishing and we got ourselves into some hybrid stripers.

Caught about 10 of those using steelshad and then we went and caught some bass on the wild shiners.

Using a cork about a foot and a half, down and running it along the weed edge then we went to a clear creek and caught a few bass in there.

It was clear enough to watch them hit the shiners we even saw one about 3 pounds swimming along and we just dropped a shiner and watched it hit it it was really fun.

Anyways for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline thank you.

Fishing Under The Mats On The St Johns River

This is Capt Steve with the fishing report for the St Johns River. Today I did a 6 hour trip with John his 2 boys and Larry. The water temperature is up to about 90 in a few spots. We ended up catching about a dozen fish most were Bass a few were Chain Pickerel and a Gar. We caught almost everything running the shiners up under the mats. There are still some real good mats on the river and they are holding some Bass. You want to be real close to some deep water right off the channel. Anyways if your looking to do a little Bass fishing or Panfish fishing give us a call at BassOnline thank you.

Fishing For Bass And Brim On The St Johns River

This is Capt Steve with my fishing report for the St Johns River, I had Jerry and his son Bo out and they wanted to do some bass fishing and brim fishing. We found some real nice copperhead brim and shellcracker about a dozen and caught them off the beds in 4 to 5 feet of water. We used a cork on up above the worm and just dragged it across, when ever the cork would stand straight up, you knew you were on a bed. We also caught 3 bass one was about 4 pounds and one was around 2 1/2 to 3 pounds and we caught a 5 1/2 to 6 pound catfish on a shiner.

It was a little warm out there today we did find some beds up in the real shallow clear water but there wasn’t any big fish on those, we caught a few but they weren’t keepers. We released them to grow up some more, anyway I look forward to having them come back and fish again. This is Capt Steve for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline.

Striped Bass And Largemouth Bass Fishing Trip

Striped Bass And Largemouth Bass Fishing Trip

Striped Bass And Largemouth Bass Fishing Trip

This is Capt Steve with the report for the last couple days, fishing with Asa and Buggs out on the St Johns River. Asa is from down here and Buggs is from up in Indiana, matter of fact Buggs and I knew a lot of the same old people that we use to race dirt cars against and everything up there. We had a lot in common to talk about the last couple days and we even ended up catching some fish, we had between the stripers and the bass yesterday around 15 and today about the same.We went south yesterday morning and caught some strippers in the main river and then went and ran some shiners under the matts and caught some bass there.

This morning we took off and ran up to the Lake George area. We got up there and caught some largemouth and some stripers there in the jettys of Lake George, they were busting on the shad that were coming through. That was a lot of fun and then we went back down south in the afternoon and caught some more fish back up underneath the matts, after the sun got really high we went and caught some more stripers they were busting everywhere right in the heat of the day following the shad.

We had a good time a lot of fun I hope to see them guys again, they are regulars with BassOnline. They have been out with Mark Shepard, Jason Young, and John Leech, on the other lakes around and this time they decided to take a trip on the St Johns RiverThis is Capt Steve with the fishing report, for any one else out there for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to bassonline thank you.

Bass Fishing Around The Storms On The St Johns River

Bass Fishing Around The Storms On The St Johns River

Bass Fishing Around The Storms On The St Johns River

Hello everybody, this is Capt Steve with your St Johns River fishing report. Over the last couple of days I’ve had Daryl and Ben from north Carolina down and they wanted to go out and catch some bass on shiners, do a little artificial fishing and just a little of everything. So we got into some hybrid strippers and caught them on steel shad and top water baits and it was a fun. Two days we sat there pretty much in one area, on the second day we did look at another area and only caught a couple. So we went back to the first area and caught some more hybrids and largemouth bass. we were fishing the shiners under the cork half the time and part of the time we were just free lining them and trolling, dragging them behind the boat, it was a lot of fun. The first day we went out we dodged a storm, we had a storm go to the south of us and we were real lucky it was suppose to be 100% chance of rain and it went around us. We watch it go by and another one 4 miles north of us on the radar so we got real lucky. We had to wait for the storms to pass and the sun to come out for the fish to bite again. That’s kinda strange here in Florida but that’s how the hybrid strippers and largemouth are on the river, and I look forward to fishing with them again, for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline, this is Capt Steve with your st johns river fishing report.
