I had the pleasure of fishing with Trent and Shawn. This was Shawn’s first time Florida Fishing Lake Okeechobee. We started our day out of Slims Fish Camp on the south east side of the lake.
Finding clean water was crucial to the success of our fishing trips. Once we found some cleaner water on the back side of Tory Island, we caught several nice fish.
Even though the bite started out slow, it ended strong. Shawn really enjoyed his time on the Lake Okeechobee. You can’t really beat the scenery and the fishing action.
Trent and Shawn both had a fantastic trip. They caught a total of 30 fish. Shawn caught his personal best largemouth bass weighing 5.5 pounds.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Michael traveling from Pennsylvania. He wanted to come explore Lake Ida and get hooked up with some quality peacock bass.
A massive cold front moved into South Florida this fall which really could have hurt the fishing. On this trip, it made it even more excited. Additional storms and 17 mph wind cut this action pack trip short but we made the best out of it.
It is not every day that you can experience a fishing trip like this one. Michael caught 5 different species of fish. He caught over 25 fish that included peacock bass, largemouth bass, mayan cichlid, speckled catfish and the clown knife fish.
Michael and I had a really great time out on the water. I am looking forward to fishing with him again in December. It will be another adventure where we create more memories one fish at a time.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Mrs. Silver traveling from Corpus Christi, Texas. Her husband owns a tackle shop that has been in business for 47 years in Texas. He adventured out to catch a sail fish while she wanted to experience peacock bass fishing.
Silver was recommended by Pure Fishing and Tom Cerni to come out with us in the Miami Falls Canal System. We had an outstanding fishing adventure with a lot of action on the water.
Silver caught 20 quality peacock bass weighing up to 4 pounds. It will be a trip she discusses in her over 45,000 subscriber outdoor publication back home.
Weather conditions were perfect for bass fishing with air temperatures at 86 degrees and water at 78 degrees. A nice breeze made for a comfortable day on the water.
Thank you Mrs. Silver for coming out and we look forward to fishing with you again. Keep a tight line out there and we will see you on the water next time!

I had the pleasure of fishing with James Kammel traveling from Tampa Bay to catch Miami peacock bass. He is a retired Commander for the United States Coast Guard and still gives his time to them as a civilian.
We had a tough morning bite on our first day. As the afternoon warmed up the water, the peacock bass began to bite. Weather conditions held up great for us with temperatures at 83 degrees and water temperatures at 78.
James was really excited to catch 10 peacock bass in an hour once things got started. The biggest fish weighed 3 pounds. He was ready for two more days on the water fishing with a black and white clouser minnow. Also, he used a red and orange minnow as well.
On the second day, we experienced similar conditions. The fly pattern and water temperatures were the same. Patience played a part in this trip and had to be consistent targeting specific areas. James put another 10 peacock bass in the boat weighing up to 4 pounds.
The final day the conditions stayed the same and the bite was also consistent. James caught 10 peacock bass weighing up to 3 pounds. It was a great way to wrap up our 3 days on the water in Miami.
James and I had a lot of fun fishing for peacock bass on fly. He surely is one great fisherman and really knows how to work a fly rod. He said this was his best fishing trip he has ever had.
I want to thank James for fishing with us and we look forward to catching more peacock bass when he comes to visit next time. Keep a tight line and we will see you on the water next time.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Steve and his son Tanner. They are customers of Captain Mark Rogers and wanted to explore Lake Okeechobee out of Clewiston on this trip. We love working as a team here at Bass Online and I was glad to show them an excellent time.
Steve has been fishing with us for a long time. The weather on Lake Okeechobee was beautiful on this trip. It was perfect for a great day on the water.
Steve and Tanner caught some big numbers with over 50 fish in the boat. They caught a lot of 3 pounders with the best fish weighing close to 5 pounds.
Early morning and throughout the later part of the morning was incredibly successful. The bite was strong right off the bat. Live bait remained the most effective technique to catching quality numbers.
