Lake Ida Fishing Slam

Lake Ida Fishing Slam

Florida Fishing is one of the best things you can adventure out to do when traveling to the state. A Lake Ida Fishing Slam will keep you hooked and ready to come back all year long. You can’t beat the action down here in South Florida.

I had the pleasure to have two trips on Lake Ida this Fall. The morning trip was with Dan who really wanted to experience an artificial bite on Lake Ida. Our afternoon trip was with Dawson and his family who were in store for a great fishing adventure.

Dan wanted to search and hunt for peacock and largemouth bass on his trip. He wanted to use artificial baits to catch them as well. Jerk and spinner baits put several quality bass in the boat. Dan had a fantastic time out on the water and is looking forward to coming back to do it again soon.

On our second trip out in the afternoon, we had a much different outcome. Dawson a young 13 year old and his family had a blast catching all the major species of fish on the Lake Ida Chain.

They had a fantastic trip catching over 25 peacock bass, 6 largemouth bass and 1 clown knife fish. Dawson caught a Lake Ida slam and couldn’t have been more excited. This kind of action can make you addicted to the sport forever.

I am looking forward to enjoying more trips out with these amazing people. Both groups had an amazing time and are excited to come back and catch more. This time of year is action packed and you don’t want to miss out on your adventure, contact Bass Online today!

Peacock Bass And Snook Caught Fishing in South Florida

Hi this is Capt Robert Miley I had the pleasure of fishing with Kurt from Texas.

The water temp was 83 and it was 93 today overcast.

Fishing was excellent we caught 20 to 25 nice Peacocks a one small Snook.

He had a great time and is looking forward to coming back with his dad it was a great day.

We beat the rain had to get the jackets out for a moment but we didn’t get wet and the fish bit all day long.

We went through 10 dozen shiners the fish were deep and sometimes it almost felt like they were snagged and we would let it go for a second then see the tip bend and then set the hook.

Its a tough bite really easy to miss, just how to fish are in summer.

Bass Fishing Trip Out Of Belle Glade Florida

Bass Fishing Trip Out Of Belle Glade Florida

Bass Fishing Trip Out Of Belle Glade Florida

Hey this is Capt Dave Lauer calling in.

My report for today is about the south end of Lake Okeechobee.

We went out of Belle Glade and started the day off at the crack of dawn.

We had a little shad spawn going on we were catching them on spinning baits we caught about 8 up to 3 pounds we had another 5 or 6 on that got away.

As soon as the sun popped up the shad spawn was over and we met my good buddy Howard out on the lake and we picked up 3 dozen shiners.

From 8 to 10 my clients Shelby and Josh proceeded to wear them out on shiners and caught them up to 4 pounds.

We burnt through the shiners in the 2 hours and by 10 we lost the breeze and the sun was beating us like a couple eggs in a frying pan.

But anyway the bite is still happening on Okeechobee if your looking for some excitement give us a call at BassOnline until then tight lines this is Capt Dave I’m out.

Peacock Bass Fishing In The Blue Lagoon

Peacock Bass Fishing In The Blue Lagoon

Peacock Bass Fishing In The Blue Lagoon

Hello this is Capt Robert Miley just getting off the water at the Blue Lagoon.

It is a little bit cooler than its been, its saying around 82 but I believe its a little hotter than that.

We had rain this morning water temp was 85 and I fished with Phillip Vance he is a Military Veteran Sergeant Major in Logistics out of Fort Bragg North Carolina.

He is getting ready to retire this dec and he wanted to get the peacock bass off of his bucket list.

We did that we caught some nice ones we ran out of bait bringing with us 10 dozen shiners.

Then switched to artificial we caught a few on artificial but the bite slowed down ether the artificial bite might have been better early or maybe they just weren’t biting anymore.

Phillip had a big fish on it prob ran 100 yards of line off running back and forth and what an awesome fish.

If it was a peacock it might have been a record but I believe it might’ve been a big snook.

Then we were sitting there talking and we had some bait hanging of the side of the boat and a large tarpon came up and hit it.

We had it on for a good 4 or 5 leaps and then it broke the hook, while fishing with artificial Phillip had another tarpon on but after a few leaps we got the lure tossed back at us.

I also spent some time with Phillip showing him about how important casting accuracy is and how to pitch the cast just right.

That’s all today for all your freshwater fishing adventures go to BassOnline thank you.

The fish were still biting the wind was blowing a little bit they had a little trouble feeling the bite.
