Lake Kissimmee Fishing Reports

Kissimmee Fishing Reports

Kissimmee

The season on Lake Kissimmee is very similar to most of the Central Florida Big Lakes. Lake Kissimmee is best known for it’s big fish that it produced inclick herethe 2006 BASS Master Classic. That event was held in February, any time in February or March are great times for trophy size bass. The pre-spawn and post-spawn are both pretty good on this lake. It has lost of grass, with good amounts of hydrilla for big fish cover. This is one the biggest lakes in the Central Florida chain, it has the capacity to produce very good numbers, but also the capability of producing the double digit trophy bass we all desire. Lake Kissimmee is a fantastic lake for artificial lures as well as shiner fishing. You have the option of learning the
most popular big fish technique, which is  flipping or using crank baits, Carolina rigging, topwater, spinner baits, rattletraps, senkos, frogs and 10″ worms all work very well. Live bait, as usual, is very productive for more consistently producing trophy size bass year around!

Tight lines and good fishing!
