Florida Double Bass Fishing
Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing is starting to really take way here in Florida. Florida Double Bass Fishing on Lake Okeechobee is a must experience next time traveling to the state. Big bass are beginning to move in off the main lake getting ready for their first big spawn.
I had the pleasure to have a double on this amazing day. Our first trip was with John and his family traveling from Canada. The weather was nice with sunny skies and a nice breeze out of Slims Fish Camp
Largemouth bass on Okeechobee were not cooperating as much as we would have liked on this trip. I gambled and found some quality fish and spots throughout the day. I told them on our final spot that “If we don’t get a bite, I am going to hire a guide myself.” Luckily, we put some nice largemouth in the boat.
Our second trip, I had the pleasure of taking out the Simard Family traveling from Ottawa Canada. Skies were still sunny and the trip had a much different spot. We started at the same spot with a much different outcome.
The fish bite right away and we did not have to move much. We had several quality bass in the boat with the biggest weighing 5.5 pounds on this Florida double bass fishing trip.

Bass Fishing Trip Out Of Belle Glade Florida
Hey this is Capt Dave Lauer calling in.
My report for today is about the south end of Lake Okeechobee.
We went out of Belle Glade and started the day off at the crack of dawn.
We had a little shad spawn going on we were catching them on spinning baits we caught about 8 up to 3 pounds we had another 5 or 6 on that got away.
As soon as the sun popped up the shad spawn was over and we met my good buddy Howard out on the lake and we picked up 3 dozen shiners.
From 8 to 10 my clients Shelby and Josh proceeded to wear them out on shiners and caught them up to 4 pounds.
We burnt through the shiners in the 2 hours and by 10 we lost the breeze and the sun was beating us like a couple eggs in a frying pan.
But anyway the bite is still happening on Okeechobee if your looking for some excitement give us a call at BassOnline until then tight lines this is Capt Dave I’m out.

Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing with Capt Dave
This is Capt Dave Lauer calling in with my report for the south end of Lake Okeechobee.
We got out there before it was late and caught a Shad spawn and proceeded to catch 15 fish up to 3 pounds on spinner baits and swim baits.
I guided for richard and his wife and son.
After we finished up on the Shad spawn we met up with Howard on the lake and he brought us some shiners and we fished the weed edge.
We caught another 15 fish or so our biggest fish was 5 pounds with quite a few in the 4 pound range.
Real good quality bites on the shiners and a couple times we had to leave the fish due to thunder storms first time when we were fishing with the spinner baits.
The second time right after we got the 5 pounder we had to leave again we didnt want to take any chances.
We could have had a better day but then again maybe we caught them due to the weather anyways for all your freshwater fishing advnetures go to BassOnline.

Okeechobee Largemouth Bass Fishing Guide Capt Dave Lauer
hey this is your Okeechobee Largemouth Bass Fishing Guide Capt Dave Lauer calling in my report I had a group out a couple times in the last month, and they were a little unprepared for the cold weather and froze their butts off on the way out to the fishing hole but by the time the sun got up it was as warm as toast and the bite was on fire we caught around 50 fish on shiners a six pounder two five pounders a few fours and a bunch of twos and threes just a steady bite all day long and everybody had a good time, this your Okeechobee Largemouth Bass Fishing Guide Capt Dave Lauer callling in, chat with you later.

Hey everybody This is your Okeechobee Bass fishing Guide Capt Dave Lauer with a fishing report, Lake Okeechobee Belle glade 47 degrees this morning, winds howling out of the north, I got two brave soldiers from Delray Beach. Jeff Whiteman Son Jordan You’ve heard their names 100 times cuz I take them fishing all the time they came out with their winter gear hats gloves That’s right, we went through 10 dozen shiners Jeff white said these guys have gone out a bunch and said that it was the best day fishing they ever recalled. Cold North wind blowing, and we found a spot where we caught them one right after another. on golden Shiners the drug of choice for large mouth bass. So anyway. Book a trip let’s go fishing there biting on Lake Okeechobee in the South East Corner. I’m captain Dave I’m out.
