Peacock Bass Fishing In The Blue Lagoon
Hello this is Capt Robert Miley just getting off the water at the Blue Lagoon.
It is a little bit cooler than its been, its saying around 82 but I believe its a little hotter than that.
We had rain this morning water temp was 85 and I fished with Phillip Vance he is a Military Veteran Sergeant Major in Logistics out of Fort Bragg North Carolina.
He is getting ready to retire this dec and he wanted to get the peacock bass off of his bucket list.
We did that we caught some nice ones we ran out of bait bringing with us 10 dozen shiners.
Then switched to artificial we caught a few on artificial but the bite slowed down ether the artificial bite might have been better early or maybe they just weren’t biting anymore.
Phillip had a big fish on it prob ran 100 yards of line off running back and forth and what an awesome fish.
If it was a peacock it might have been a record but I believe it might’ve been a big snook.
Then we were sitting there talking and we had some bait hanging of the side of the boat and a large tarpon came up and hit it.
We had it on for a good 4 or 5 leaps and then it broke the hook, while fishing with artificial Phillip had another tarpon on but after a few leaps we got the lure tossed back at us.
I also spent some time with Phillip showing him about how important casting accuracy is and how to pitch the cast just right.

Peacock Bass Fishing In The AeroJet Canal
Hello this is Capt Robert Miley fishing the AeroJet Canal.
The temp was 97 but what made it a little nice was a cool sea breeze blowing in.
So it was great fishing I guided for Yoland, Maggie and Mike we got out there around 4pm and its just now 730.
The fish were still biting the wind was blowing a little bit they had a little trouble feeling the bite.
I showed them a few tricks with casting, the accuracy is just so important.
They ended up catching some really nice fish.

Peacock Bass Fishing At The Falls With Capt Robert
Hello this is Capt Robert Miley just leaving The Falls.
The weather has been brutal hot, and the fish were biting slow but we caught 8 really nice peacocks.
The water temp was almost in the 90s and the fish were really deep.
I fished with Gus and Marty they’re tattoo specilists. they had an awesome time but they got cooked just like me.
It was really hot thought I was going down for the count I got a little whoozy Im glad they decided to quit an hour early.
We didnt catch anything on artificial, they were starting to school they were all just little fish.
But there was plenty of bait I dont know if thats why the bite was off a little bit anyways.
