Lake Okeechobee has been great season for 2012 and the New Year is just around the corner.
January starts the trend of catching big fish and continues for months to follow. The month will without question start out with a big bang, as Air temps continue to change and so will the fishing. With all these variables in weather, this could be the best month to go out and catch a trophy size bass!
Want a trophy largemouth, Lake Okeechobee is the place to be this season. Because of the early cool snaps and extended warm weather in-between the big bass are already spawning all over the lake. Many areas on the Big O are producing great numbers of fish and fishing should only get better.
Today I took out Stewart;Eli and Leo from Tennessee. The day started of slow due to a very rainy morning, but they really wanted to catch some peacock bass. Once the rain stopped and the sun broke the action was on, the Wiston caught over 15 fish for the day.
