WHAT TO EXPECT – FLORIDA FISHING

Booking Your Fishing Trip

When you’re ready to reserve your fishing charter, the easiest and fastest way to book is through our online reservation system. It’s available 24/7 and allows you to browse available dates, choose your guide, and select your preferred fishing package—all in just a few clicks.

Prefer a personal touch? No problem. If you have questions or want help selecting the right experience, feel free to call our toll-free number to speak directly with one of our experienced guides—not a call center or booking agent. We’re happy to walk you through any details, including local accommodations, fishing options, or what gear to bring.

After you book online or finalize your trip with us over the phone, we’ll collect your contact details and confirm your reservation with a small deposit—payable by credit card or check. The deposit amount depends on the duration and type of trip. If booking online, you’ll be prompted to secure your spot with a deposit during checkout.

Once confirmed, we’ll send you a trip confirmation via email, including meeting location, directions, and start time. If needed, we can also send this info by text, fax, or phone—whatever’s most convenient for you. And of course, we’re always here to answer any follow-up questions leading up to your trip. Just reach out anytime between 8 AM and 8 PM EST, or email us whenever it’s convenient.

On the Day of Your Fishing Charter

You’ll be greeted at your pre-arranged meeting spot—whether that’s your hotel lobby, a marina, or a public boat ramp—by a courteous, professional guide. At that time, you’ll have the chance to discuss your fishing goals for the day. Want to target trophy bass or try a specific technique? Just let your guide know. They’ll also provide recommendations based on what’s been working recently, including bait and presentation tips. If you haven’t picked up your fishing license yet, this is the perfect time.

Our boats are fully equipped for your comfort and include a built-in cooler filled with ice, ready for your favorite beverages. You’re also welcome to bring alcoholic drinks if you wish.

Once introductions are complete, you’ll head out to the lake with your guide, who will assist you throughout the day to maximize your chances of landing great fish. Whether you’re a first-time angler or a seasoned pro, we work hard to deliver an exceptional fishing experience at one of our fishing destinatons. Our goal is to exceed the standards of the average guide service—because you’re not here for average.

Wrapping Up Your Charter

At the end of your trip, we’ll return you to the original meeting location. This is when your final payment will be collected—minus the deposit. You’re welcome to pay by credit card, or cash.

Gratuity is not included in the trip cost and is never expected—but always appreciated if you feel your guide delivered top-notch service, quality equipment, and outstanding effort. A common tip for exceptional service is around 20%, though the amount is entirely up to you. There’s absolutely no pressure—just a gesture of appreciation if you feel it’s earned.

If you have any remaining questions about what to expect before, during, or after your Hawghunter adventure, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

We look forward to speaking with you and sharing a fantastic day on the water!
